On Father’s Day, Campaign for Uyghurs acknowledges with gratitude the knowledge, sacrifices, and uncountable contributions that are given each of us by our fathers. We are thankful, and wish each of them a very happy Father’s Day. May the memories and love we treasure on this day be an encouragement to our souls. For those whom this is a bittersweet occasion, we acknowledge your pain.
As millions of Uyghurs are separated from their fathers by the Chinese government’s genocidal crimes, we remind you of the belief that your suffering is not in vain. We would like to encourage all those in the Uyghur community who are suffering injustice at the hands of the Chinese government to be bold. Use your knowledge and your truth to speak and act with conviction, and do not be afraid of those who do evil. The truth continues to come forth, and the truth will set us free. Likewise, the truth will continue to condemn the oppressor. We are strong because we know the truth, and the tactics of the Chinese government to exterminate us by using their brute “strength” are no match for the realities of moral right.
May the children of the innocent Uyghur fathers who have been loved and whose dedication knows no bounds, please continue to find strength in your fight for justice for their parents. We are with you.
