May 24th marks Eid al-Fitr, and as this special month comes to a close, Campaign For Uyghurs wishes each and every member of the Muslim community Eid Mubarak. We hope that in spite of the very different Ramadan faced this year due to the Covid19 pandemic, it was a month of spiritual growth and a powerful impact for every one of you. We thank you all for your remembrance of the Uyghur people, and the sufferings that they have faced, as you have raised up prayers for them as they have been forbidden from celebrating Ramadan.
We take this opportunity to ask that the good deeds and prayers of each person would not stop with the close of Ramadan. May the lessons of this month be used to strengthen each of us to continue our good deeds by using our voices to call out with strength and resolve and to advocate for our Uyghur brothers and sisters who are being imprisoned, enslaved, and killed by the Chinese government.
The Holy Quran tells us that when we save a life, it is as if we have saved all of humanity, and therefore, we ask each of you to reflect on whether or not every one of us has done our part.
We remain dedicated to the cause that each and every one of those abused Uyghur lives should be treated with dignity.
