Campaign for Uyghurs (CFU) is pleased to announce the addition of Ms. Paula Kaufman to the full-time staff of the organization as Advocacy Director. Ms. Kaufman comes to CFU with a passion for human rights and justice, a background in journalism and education, and a fierce desire to bring an end to the Uyghur genocide. All of these characteristics make this new member of the CFU team not only exciting addition to the staff but exciting addition to the community of Uyghur allies and activists around the world.
Ms. Kaufman received her Bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a Master’s from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. She brings with her countless international experiences in Europe, the UN, Palestine, and Japan that will make her an invaluable asset to the Uyghur advocacy work against the CCP’s genocide. In her own words, her family’s history with the Holocaust has given Ms. Kaufman a “moral contract” to act on behalf of groups facing genocide.
It is with great excitement that CFU looks forward to a year of continued success and activism, now enriched by a new mind dedicated to tackling the most pressing issue of our time.
