Campaign for Uyghurs (CFU) extends its warm congratulations to Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his recent election victory as the President of Türkiye and hopes that the elections will serve in the best interests of Turkiye and the Uyghur people.
As an organization dedicated to advocating for Uyghur rights and raising awareness about the Uyghur genocide, CFU looks forward to President Erdogan and the Turkish government’s continued attention to further strengthen efforts in addressing the Uyghur crisis. The CFU remains committed to collaborating with Türkiye and the international community to bring an end to the atrocities being committed against the Uyghur people.
In a statement regarding President Erdogan’s election win, Executive Director Rushan Abbas said, “I congratulate President Erdogan on his successful election as the Turkish President. I believe that under his leadership, Türkiye will continue to play a pivotal role in addressing the Uyghur crisis and advocating for the rights and freedom of the Uyghur people.”
CFU expresses its hope that these elections will be beneficial for both Türkiye and the Uyghur people, promoting their shared interests and advancing the cause of Uyghur rights.
