After over 21 months of no news on the disappearance of Dr. Gulshan Abbas, Radio Free Asia has confirmed via her former place of employment that she is in Chinese government detention. Previous inquiries with Urumqi police on her whereabouts were met only with responses that it was a Chinese “state secret”. Having committed no crime, we know that the only “secret” is the need to hide the fact that the Chinese government is kidnapping innocent citizens as a retaliatory act. …Read More

Campaign for Uyghurs (CFU) is thrilled by the passage of the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act of 2020. We are thankful for the United States Legislature’s demonstration of global leadership in making the moral choice to take concrete action to reaffirm the human dignity of the Uyghur people abused in East Turkistan by the Chinese Communist regime.  This action on the part of the government of the United States demonstrates exemplary global leadership that we hope will be emulated by the civilized nations of the world. …Read More

Campaign for Uyghurs welcomes and applauds the Senate passing the S.178 Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act of 2019 by unanimous consent. We hope that the bill will soon become a law and give the President the power to impose sanctions on China as a consequence of the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of Uyghurs. Chinese government officials who are engaged in human rights abuses must be held accountable and face the consequences of their actions, and this bill takes us one important step closer to ensuring that happens. …Read More

Campaign for Uyghurs (CFU)

On May 10th we celebrate and honor the women who love us unconditionally. Let us acknowledge their endless contributions and pivotal roles in our societies. Mothers are the permanent symbols of affection, care, protection, and love that everyone so deeply craves. It is sobering to remember that at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party, millions of people do not get to experience this maternal bond.  Millions of Uyghur mothers themselves, or their children, are put in concentration camps, forced labor facilities, and state-run orphanages, and consequently never heard from again. In some cases, they are forced to cut ties in an effort to protect one another.  …Read More

CFU is extremely troubled by some of the apathetic responses towards the Chinese Communist Party’s Covid-19 coverup. As the evidence continues to mount against the Chinese government, the American people should be united in recognition of the truth that the Chinese Communist Party is guilty of crimes against humanity in both their domestic persecution of Uyghurs and many other peoples and their lack of concern for the international community as a whole. According to news reports, while the international community is concentrating on managing the Covid19 pandemic, the Chinese authorities are rapidly moving Uyghurs out of their homeland and offering them up as slave labor for China’s economic advances.…Read More
